How Add-On Installation Works
Workers and administrators access the Add-On Catalog from within Business Central by navigating to the Warehouse Insight Add-On Catalog page. The catalog displays all available add-ons with descriptions and category filters. Selecting an add-on and pressing Install deploys everything the add-on requires: the Business Central extension app, the Warehouse Insight application definitions, device menu options, application overrides, and any supporting configuration data. No manual steps are required beyond a single post-installation configuration, such as selecting a journal batch or assigning a printer.
Once installation completes, the administrator reloads the app configuration from the Warehouse Insight device menu in Business Central. The new capability appears on devices immediately. Workers see the new menu option or workflow behavior the next time they open the application.
