Installation: Two Stage Inventory Pick is a free extension that is included with the Warehouse Insight app. To access the extension, install Warehouse Insight and then visit the Add-On Catalog from within Business Central.
Turn Inventory Picks into a Two-Step Workflow
The Two Stage Inventory Pick add-on extends the standard Inventory Pick process by splitting it into two clear stages: pick and stage/ship. When the pick is posted, the add-on automatically uses an Item Reclassification Journal to move items from the picking-line bin to a designated shipping bin—giving you a cleaner handoff between warehouse picking and order shipping.
This approach helps teams separate “picking completed” from “order shipped,” without changing how users create Inventory Picks. Warehouse staff continue using the standard Inventory Pick workflow, while the add-on handles the behind-the-scenes bin movement automatically.
