Warehouse Insight in Business Central: Offline Picking, Voice, and Text Scanning

Not every warehouse starts with barcodes on every bin and carton. Warehouse Insight can read printed text, such as bin codes, item numbers, and lot numbers, almost as quickly as scanning a barcode. That lets you start mobile warehouse management in Business Central sooner and generate proper barcode labels as you go.

Warehouse Insight can keep picking and receiving moving when Wi-Fi drops. Devices cache key Business Central documents, queue scans locally, and sync automatically when the connection returns. Transactions that fail are written to an error log in Business Central, and some features, such as proof of delivery, still require a live connection.

Two pickers working the same pick document is a common worry in busy warehouses. Warehouse Insight handles it differently online and offline. Online, Business Central validates every scan and can assign a pick to the first worker who opens it. Offline, devices cannot see each other, so duplicate picking becomes possible.
