The Three Views
Rich Tile View
Rich Tile View displays each document line as a visual tile, with item pictures pulled directly from Business Central, alongside multiple configurable data fields per row. Each tile shows what a worker needs to verify before scanning: the item image, description, bin, lot or serial fields, and quantity, all visible simultaneously without selecting a row. Color rules apply per row and are configured in Business Central, allowing supervisors to flag priority lines, highlight exceptions, or differentiate order types at a glance. Rich Tile View is well-suited for picking, receiving, and shipping workflows on Android handhelds, where visual item confirmation reduces mispicks before the scan.
Directed Card View
Directed Card View presents one record at a time in a full-detail panel. The worker sees everything about the current task: bin, item number, quantity, UOM, lot, serial, package number, description, and source document, all on one screen, with no other lines visible to distract or confuse. Factboxes sit alongside the main panel and are fully configurable: a comments factbox can display pick instructions, and an image factbox shows the item picture. Prev and Next buttons allow manual navigation between lines. Directed Card View is the interface for vehicle-mounted tablets on forklifts and pick carts, as well as for wearable computers, where a focused, unambiguous display matches the physical, step-by-step nature of the work.
Compact Grid View
Compact Grid View shows all document lines simultaneously in a high-density list. Columns include bin, item number, open quantity, and UOM, with a footer panel beneath the selected row showing additional detail for that line. Workers can sort by any column directly on the device and add or remove columns without administrator involvement. Compact Grid View is the right choice for smaller handheld scanner screens and experienced warehouse workers who want full document visibility and the ability to navigate a large pick list efficiently.
How Interface Views Work in Warehouse Insight

A supervisor selects the appropriate view for a device configuration, and every worker using that configuration sees that interface.
