Full bin contents in one scan. Scanning a bin barcode opens the detail view immediately, showing every item in the bin with quantity on hand, unit of measure, item number, description, and variant. Lines with a quantity of 0 are automatically filtered out, so the view reflects only what is physically present.
Lot and serial number grouping. Bin contents can be displayed grouped by lot or serial number by setting the Bin Contents Inquiry Mode in Business Central’s device configuration. When enabled, each lot or serial number appears as its own line in the contents view, giving workers immediate visibility into which specific tracked quantities are in the bin.
License plates in the bin. The License Plates menu option lists all license plates currently stored in the bin. Workers can select any plate and view its full contents, including all items and their quantities, without leaving the application.
Recent warehouse transaction history. The Warehouse Entries menu option shows a summary of recent activity for the bin, filtered to the selected bin content record. The number of transactions displayed in Business Central is configurable. Workers can review what has moved in and out of the bin without returning to a desktop.
Print bin labels from the device. If a bin label is damaged or missing, workers can print a replacement directly from the Bin Content application to any BC-configured printer, without leaving the warehouse floor.
Switch bins without returning to the list. Workers can scan a different bin barcode directly from the detail view to load that bin’s contents, without navigating back to the lookup list. This makes rapid multi-bin checks practical during a floor walk or cycle count preparation.
Manual entry fallback. If a bin barcode label is unreadable, workers can enter the bin code manually from the device. This keeps the inquiry workflow uninterrupted even when labels are damaged.
Configurable columns. The fields displayed in the bin contents view are configured in Business Central. Columns can be added or removed to match the information workers need on the floor without modifying core application code.

The Bin Content application is accessible from the main menu of Warehouse Insight and as a shortcut from within active pick, put-away, movement, and count documents. From the main menu, the worker opens the application and is presented with a bin lookup list.
Scanning a bin barcode resolves immediately to that bin and opens the detail view. The contents list shows every item in the bin with quantity, unit of measure, and description. Workers can enable lot or serial grouping to break the view down to the tracking level. From the same screen, they can view license plates in the bin, pull up recent warehouse entries, or print a bin label.
